About Manishka Erande
Driven by curiosity at the intersection of policy, economics, and human behavior, I aim to understand systems and reimagine them for a more inclusive future.
Hi! I’m Manishka Erande, part of the class of 2026 at Oberoi International School in Mumbai. You might find me teaching tricks to my Cocker Spaniel, sparring in Taekwondo, rehearsing rock music with my band Havoc, or getting lost in a Formula 1 race strategy breakdown. I’m also a proud fan of time travel comics (and yes, I’ve debated all the best “pause vs. rewind” superpower scenarios), and I have a liking for unusual food combinations (think soft buttered bread with whipped cream!)
But beyond these passions, there’s one cause that drives me: making systems fairer and more inclusive. Whether it’s through my projects connecting students to NGOs, my research on how countries tackle digital financial inclusion, or just conversations with friends, I’m fascinated by how policy shapes everyday life, and how we can make it work better for more people. This mix of creativity, strategy, and curiosity is my way of exploring the world; sometimes through a stage spotlight, sometimes through a spreadsheet, and sometimes through the pages of a comic book. I’m excited to keep sharing that journey here with you!
